Aspiring model is on his way to America
Hundreds of fashion and talent agents, personal managers, casting directors, network representatives and music producers judge the ITMA competitions while searching for new models, actors, singers and dancers to work in the entertainment industry.
America is winking for Luvo Sandile (20), a local model on the rise.
The youngster from Boksburg East has been invited to compete in the International Modelling and Talent Association (IMTA) competition in New York in July, 2020.
This opportunity came knocking after he was scouted by international agents at the International Arts Talent Showcase at the Silverstar Casino on September 28.
“I’m so grateful for this opportunity. I thought about doing modelling in South Africa, but going overseas is a dream come true.
“I’m happy to represent my beautiful country. It’s something I always wanted to do and I’m hungry to make a success of my career.”
The model explained that IMTA is a professional association of the most successful modelling and talent training centres in the world.
IMTA has become the recognised leader in putting new faces in front of people who are interested in identifying the next rising star. An impressive list of people who were first seen at IMTA conventions are now seen in magazines, TV, movies and fashion show.

On a personal note
- Lovu started his modelling career when he was in primary school.
- He is Mr Cradle 2017, second prince in the Mr Cansa pageant and a Mr Icon Gauteng 2018 finalist.
- He loves soccer and is a good striker.
- Luvo grew up in a rural area in the Eastern Cape with his grandmother.
- He only met his mother in 2016 and is happy to have a relationship with her now.
- He loves to travel.
