Owner allegedly shoots his two dogs
The Advertiser spoke to the owner of the dogs, who declined to comment on the matter.

Two dogs were recently found dead at a house in Atlasville on September 25.
According to Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube, officers responded to a call about a man who allegedly shot two of his dogs.
On arrival, Ramaube said the police spoke to a 24-year-old man who alleged his 26-year-old brother was attacked by his two dogs.
“Police spoke to the owner of the dogs, who said his life was in danger because he was attacked by the dogs before he shot them.
“Police exercised their duties, which is to combat, investigate and maintain order, so they confiscated his firearm as required by the Firearm Control Act 60 of 2000 for safekeeping,” Ramaube said.

The scene was handed over to the Boksburg SPCA.
Ramaube said no case docket was opened and the report was handed over to the Boksburg North SAPS station commander and his Vispol commander.
According to Boksburg SPCA chairperson Willie du Plessis, inspector Hope Mokalapa attended to the incident in the presence of SAPS members.
“At the scene, Mokalapa found the bodies of two dogs that had been shot. He removed the two carcasses and arranged for a post mortem from a veterinarian.
“The decision to prosecute now rests with the prosecuting authority.
“Any eye witness should contact the investigating officer at Boksburg North SAPS to provide a statement,” du Plessis said.
