The EMPD Public Order Policing Unit recently launched an operation to hunt down wanted suspects.
According to Kobeli Mokheseng, EMPD spokesperson, officers visited different police stations and collected SAPS dockets.
These dockets contained information of wanted suspects who disappeared after criminal cases were opened against them or who failed to appear in front of the Magistrate’s Court when being summoned.
He said the 11 suspects who were traced were apprehended for armed and common robbery, dealing in drugs, theft, assault with GBH, fraud, malicious damage to property and contempt of Court.
