Victim Empowerment Centre in Reiger Park growing out of its infancy

The centre plans to expand to accommodate more victims, and welcomes any form of sponsorship.

The Reiger Park SAPS Victim Empowerment Centre (VEC) has been running a little over a month.

It helps to counsel victims of domestic violence, and has had the fortune of Sgt Sebastian Groenewald of the EMPD recently donating R5 000 from his own pocket.

The centre, situated at the Reiger Park SAPS, also refers victims to relevant homes or centres where they can be safe and looked after, in situations where a need more than counselling is required.

The VEC closely works with numerous NGOs and care centres in and around Boksburg.
