A 30-year-old man was found dead around the mine houses in Driefontein near Angelo informal settlement on August 5.
The body was discovered by the deceased’s next of kin.
According to Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson, Const Justice Ramaube, the man’s body was found face down in a pool of blood.
“Preliminary observations revealed that the deceased’s body allegedly had serious injuries at the back of his neck, left ear and right leg,” Ramaube said.
The motive or weapon used in the killing is still unknown.
