Two suspects, aged 37 and 40, have been arrested for possession of a hijacked vehicle and possession of a firearm and ammunition.
The suspects were arrested on July 20 in Katlehong around 10pm.
According to Dawn Park SAPS spokesperson Const Nkemeleng Mabula, the police received a complaint of hijacking in Bushbuck Street, Dawn Park.
“When the police arrived on scene, they found the complainant who alleged that when she parked her company vehicle in her driveway, she was attacked when she opened the gate.
“The complainant alleged that two men held her at gunpoint and forced her into the back seat.”
Mabula said the complainant was dropped around Mapleton Agricultural Holdings by the suspects, who then fled with the vehicle.
“Due to the vehicle having a tracker, the police were able to track down the vehicle and it was found along with both of the suspects,” Mabula said.
