Crime fighters and community join hands to celebrate Mandela Day

CPF Sector Four is planning on doing more high-visibility stand-offs in the future.

The Boksburg North CPF, Boksburg North SAPS and First Responders held a high-visibility stand-off on July 18 through parts of Boksburg in support of Mandela Day.

The responders included Makopano Security and Mamba Security, MF Towing and Emer-G-Med.

Together they helped to collect items, such as food, blankets and other necessities, from the community during the stand off.

The public could also bring their generous donations to the drop-off point at Ferreira’s Sports Bar And Restaurant.

The donations are going to Kuselo Child and Youth Care Services, SAVF Huis Dien Bothma Retirement Village, Boksburg Jesus se Helpers, Andries Scribante Haven and caravan parks.
