Suspected drug dealer nabbed in Boksburg

He is expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday.

The EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit members on Sunday, July 14 confronted a man who was acting suspiciously at the intersection of 13th Avenue and Ravenswood in Boksburg North.

According to chief superintendent Wilfred Kgasago, EMPD spokesperson, when searched the man was found in possession of khat and dagga. He was immediately arrested.

 

Kgasago said the foreign national was found with one block of khat, one ziplock of khat and two ziplocks of dagga valued at R4 500 as well as cash amounting to R141. The arrest was effected in the afternoon.

The suspect was detained at Boksburg North police station on charges of possession and dealing in narcotics.
