
In Plantation, robbers tied up security guards and stole trucks and tractor batteries and a microwave, during the early hours of May 16.
The complainant told the Boksburg police that he and his colleague were patrolling the property when about six intruders merged.
Thereupon, the robbers threatened the guards with a firearm and tied them up before stealing the batteries from the parked vehicles.
* A resident of Parkrand woke up in the early hours of May 17 to find thieves helping themselves to the content of his house on Le Roux Street.
He screamed for help and the thieves fled the scene with his belongings, including a pair of sneakers, R150 in cash, a projector, a sound system and other valuable goods. The stolen goods are insured.
* Also in Parkrand, burglars forced their way into a residential property on Van der Post Avenue and stole goods worth thousands of rand on May 17.
The thieves lifted the gate up off its rails and broke the door of the house to gain entry. The stolen goods include a TV set, a PlayStation and a tablet.
* In Parkrand, thieves forced their way into Swallows Nest on Jubilee Road and stole a laptop on May 18. The victim told the police that he woke up at about 2am to find that thieves have forced their way into the house and stole the laptop. The laptop is insured.
