Great day out promised at Woodland’s fun colour run, farmers craft market
Jaguar Land Rover East Rand will also be showcasing their latest vehicles and facilitating select test-drive experiences.
Woodlands International College, with the sponsorship of Jaguar Land Rover East Rand, will be holding a farmers craft market and also the colour run in aid of charities on May 25 between 9am and 2pm.
It promises to be an action-packed and fun-filled day of colourful, and definitely messy races.
The day also offer a wonderful opportunity for the whole family to enjoy quality time together, compete for the sheer fun of it, and build community camaraderie as all the competitors take a little time out to put the less fortunate first.
In addition, a cash prize of R5 000 will be awarded to the school with the greatest number of entrants on the day.
Tickets cost R50 each per race, inclusive of environmentally-friendly paint pack.
The R5 entry fee will be donated to one of the following charities: Friends of Rottweiler Rescue and Re-home South Africa, HANNA Empowerment and Charity Foundation or the SPCA Boksburg.
Once collecting your race pack from the registration table, you can select which charity you would like to support.
The races on the day will take place in a mini obstacle course and will be divided into the following categories: three to six year old race (all entrants to be accompanied by an adult), seven to 12 year old race, family race, grandparents race, 13 to 18 year old senior students race and then open adults.
Other attractions include the craft market, which is a popular event on the local community calendar, where visitors can browse, sample, and buy a wide array of organic produce, artisan breads, and other hand-made products, as well as outdoor group pilates sessions for the ladies, dance classes, and horsing around with the dynamic Pony Play, who will be offering pony rides and informative demonstrations on equine care.
Highly popular celebrity DJ Teddy Tumi will be keeping everyone upbeat. All in all it promises to be an entertaining occasion for all.
