Elections for 2019 draws to a close

The country's almost 23 000 voting stations remained open until 9pm. All results will come through the IEC's election results centre in Pretoria,

Gwede Mantashe, the national chairperson of the ANC, made his mark in Freeway Park along with thousands of other Boksburg voters during the sixth general national elections.

The Advertiser was out and about, providing feedback on our social media pages.

It seemed generally elections went well, apart from minor glitches here and there.

However, by late afternoon reports were received of the voting station along North Rand, situated at BMW, had to shut down due to EFF protests.
