Financial donation a boost for local SPCA
Apart from providing donations, there are a number of ways to assist the SPCA, such as volunteering,, being a handyman or sitting on the committee
Dros restaurant in Sunward Park handed over a R20 000 cheque to the Boksburg SPCA on April 28.
According to Brett Goad, Dros manager, they felt it was necessary to donate to the society in aid for the animals.
He highlighted they last donated to the SPCA in 2015 so they decided it was time to donate again.
“We ran a competition from March 1 to raise funds for the SPCA.
“Our customers had to buy a raffle ticket to stand a chance of winning a huge wheel barrow consisting of groceries and other items,” Goad said.
DCL Distributors, Impact Distributors, Lasher Tool and Flower Expressions donated the goods inside the wheelbarrow.
