While the sun is still shining and the power is off, send the children outdoors this holiday to have a picnic with yummy snacks they made themselves. What about fruit sticks, roll-up sandwiches and marshmallow s’mores?

Protect your plants; give them their winter jackets and cover them up before it is too late

Hair tips from a pro. Dalene, owner of Bobs & Beehives Hair Culture, explains that to prevent winter hair damage you should stock up on good products. A weekly mask is advisable and leave-in conditioner will save your hair this winter. She also advises clients to dial down on the blonde ambition and opt for a more winter blonde, like a balayage or ombre. Cut down on your heavy styling routine, dolls. We know you like a blow wave in winter, but just try and stretch the time between your heat styling routine.
