Two suspected drug peddlers arrested

The suspects were locked up at Vosloorus police station and charged with possession and dealing in narcotics.

The EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit members responded to a tip off received about a man and a woman reported to be selling drugs to learners and other members of the community in Vosloorus.

The metro police swift reaction on Tuesday, March 5 yielded two arrests as well as seizure of packets of khat and crystal methamphetamine .

According to chief superintendent Wilfred Kgasago, EMPD spokesperson, the house at Vumbuka Section was raided.

“The two occupants found in the house – a man (22) and a woman (45) – were immediately arrested,” said Kgasago.

The suspects are expected to appear in the Vosloorus Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.
