Watch: Great day out at the Advertiser’s first car boot sale

The first ever Boksburg Advertiser’s car boot sale took place on February 2 at Bokkie Park. Hundreds of people came through to buy secondhand items such as clothing, paintings, tools, books, toys and much more.

It was a great day of fun and excitement at the Bokkie Park on Saturday, February 2, when the Advertiser kicked off its first car boot sale.

The car boot sale is held in partnership with the Bokkie Park Craft Market, with the community coming out in their numbers to pick up a bargain and to enjoy a day out.

If you missed out, then be sure to visit the Bokkie Park on March 2 for the next sale.

“I am so glad I had the opportunity to be part of the car boot sale at the Bokkie Park,” said one trader, Bev Edwards.

“It was nice meeting new people and of course to make a little extra with the things we no longer need.

“From my perspective I feel it was a huge success and the people I spoke to had only good things to say about the whole market in general. Well done to the Advertiser and thank you very much.”

Good news is that the car boot sale will continue to be held on the first Saturday of every month, so diarise March 2.

So if you want to be part of this exciting opportunity to sell your second-hand goods, then reserve your space as soon as possible for March.

Remember, you can sell secondhand items that fall into categories such as bric-a-brac, clothing, paintings, tools, kitchenware, books, toys, baby items, garden and camping equipment.

For those interested in being part of the car boot sale at the Bokkie Park, take note that the R100 entry fee must be paid upfront. A proof of payment will be provided that must be shown on the day.

A stand number for the vehicle will also be allocated. So hurry and book your place right now, as space is limited, to give a boot to the tough times.
