The Dawn Park SAPS have arrested a 35-year-old suspect for possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
According to Const Nkemeleng Mabula, Dawn Park SAPS spokesperson, police received a complaint of a stolen motor vehicle from their radio control at the Mapleton Plot on January 28.
“On arrival, the police allegedly found one suspect inside a Silver Tata bakkie which was reported stolen in Dawn Park.
“The suspect was arrested and detained at the Dawn Park SAPS.”
The suspect will appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon.”
• Meanwhile, a 36-year-old suspect was arrested for drinking and driving in Dawn Park on January 28.
“The crime prevention police arrested the man after witnessing him driving recklessly and they managed to stop him.
“He stepped out of the vehicle and he allegedly couldn’t walk properly and smelled of alcohol,” Mabula said.
The suspect was taken to hospital for blood test.
