Community patroller shot dead in Angelo

A murder case has been registered and investigations continue.

An Angelo informal settlement CPF community patroller was shot dead in what police suspect was a “targeted killing” on January 17.

Boksburg SAPS spokesperson, Const Ntsako Ledwaba, told the Advertiser that police got a call regarding a shooting along the street in the informal settlement.

“Our members responded and located a male with three gunshot wounds lying on the side of the road. Blooding was coming out of his mouth and chest, and was later identified as Muzikusi Cibisa, a member of the Boksburg CPF – Angelo branch,” explained Ledwaba.

Paramedics were also called and they certified Cibisa dead at the scene after sustaining three gunshot wounds to his chest and armpit.
