Mi CASA to wow revellers at Birchwood on Friday

Mi Casa will take-over the Birchwood stage with their much-loved chart-toppers that have seen them achieve international acclaim and three South African Music Awards.

The multiple award-winning Mi Casa is expected to round off the working year in style for the final Birchwood Comes Alive Jazz Evening of 2018 on December 1, at the Birchwood Hotel.

This is according to a press statement issued by UrbanHouse Media on behalf of Birchwood Hotel and OR Tambo Conference Centre.

The sensational South African trio, Afro-pop and soul band, Encore.The versatile group, consisting of Dr Duda (producer, DJ and keyboardist), Mo-T (trumpeter) and J’ Something (vocalist), have taken the country by storm with their Jazz and House blend.

“Supporting Mi Casa is the sensational South African trio, Afro-pop and soul band, Encore.

“Having performed at the Standard Bank Joy of Jazz in both 2009 and 2012, the Capital Arts Festival in 2010, the Tswana group have been topping the local charts for many years,” said UrbanHouse Media’s Tegan Mitchell in a statement.

The evening will be opened by up-and-coming songstress Samu Portia Nkuna.

Renowned comedienne and MC, Nina Hastie, will take over the stage with her distinct controversial comedy style.

“Having been recognised as the youngest radio host, and voice of children’s programme K-TV and Yfm, Hastie has since been dubbed as one of SA’s top female comics.
