Jack Gray (90) receives his Rotary International Award
The award, on the day of the induction of the new club’s president, Derek Fox, was handed to Jack in absentia.
The Rotary Club internationally recently celebrated its 80th Charter Anniversary on August 31.
While the club members were recollecting what went into their 80 years journey, they also considered members who had for many years worked hard for the organisation.
Boksburg past president, Jack Gray (90), was applauded for his wide-spread contribution to all of the five Rotary Avenues of Service.
He could not attend the celebration due to illness.
The oldest members of the club, Dave Beattie and Dana Oosthuizen, received the award on his behalf.
