Eight-man gang hits Stallion Shopping Complex

The thugs were seen fleeing the scene in a Mercedes-Benz Vito.

A gang of robbers broke into Stallion Shopping Complex in Ramaphosa and stole an undisclosed amount of money on Monday night, August 20.

According to Reiger Park SAPS spokesperson Const Jan Mokwana, the gang of about eight men forced their way into the complex through the roof and held the six security guards hostage, before proceeding to the main office where they stole money from a safe.

The robbers tied up the guards before they damaged the security camera system and used explosives to blow open the safe.

No shots were fired, no one was injured and no arrests have been made so far.

A case of business robbery was opened.
