Armed robbers accost home owner in her bedroom

The complainant then heard three gunshots in her yard but no one was injured.

A house was robbed in Tassenberg Street, Ravensklip on July 5 at 1.30 am.

According to  Boksburg North SAPS communications officer, Capt Juanita Coetzer,  the complainant was asleep when she woke up of her bedroom door opening.

She saw an unknown male standing in front of her bed. The suspect switched the light on and then pointed a firearm at her and told her not to scream.

She then heard her mother scream from her bedroom. They demanded money, cellphones and jewellery.

They took the items and left the house. 

The SAPS were contacted and during the investigation they found one firearm in the garden. 

• The following arrests were made during the week of July 1 to 7: Reckless and/or negligent driving 11, shoplifting 10, assault common 1, dealing in illegal substances 1, theft 4, undocumented persons 1, warrant of arrest 1, possession of illegal substances 7, truck hijacking 1, contravening of Psira Act 16, fraud 1, illegal trading 1, driving under influence 4.
