Residents of Beyers Park, Bardene, Bartlett and Impala Park have been without electricity today, June 18, since this morning.
According to Ward 22 Clr Ruhan Robinson, the cause of the power outage was due to power cables that were stolen yesterday in Atlas Road, June 17.
“Last week also the power cables were also stolen in Atlas Road which caused a power outage,” said Robinson.
“Clr Andre du Plessis was at Atlas Road today were engineers from the Department of Energy were carrying out the work of installing new cables,” he said.
