A Mapleton resident made a grisly discovery on June 2 when she came across five bodies of men aged between 30 and 36 near her house.
According to Constable Nkemeleng Mabula from the Dawn Park SAPS, the police have launched a manhunt after the discovery of the five bodies.
“The bodies had gunshot wounds in the upper body. The police were alerted by one of the residents who heard gunshots during the night on May 1.
“The next morning on Saturday she discovered the bodies,” Mabula said.
Police are pleading to anyone who may have information regarding these killings to come forward or contact the Dawn park SAPS on 011 862 8000 or 0860 10111.
