Making a ‘warm’ difference, one blanket at a time
During the winter time the less fortunate are desperately in need of warm clothing and blankets
We are now in the cold winter season and not many people have the privilege of having a blanket to keep warm this winter.
Ravenswood resident Delia Ramagoshi has started a charity blanket drive to support the needy during the winter season by handing out knitted blankets.
“As a housewife, I spend my time doing the most for the needy by knitting blankets for them.
“To spread the word I have sent messages on social media encouraging friends and family to start knitting.
“We also receive support from a cancer group who have also joined and have started knitting to make a difference in the community.”
The Advertiser recently donated wool to Ramagoshi to support her charity blanket drive. Excitedly, after a week she returned to show off some of the four blankets she has knitted using some of the donated wool.
