Police investigate collision in Plantation involving cash-in-transit van

SAPS and EMPD officers are investigating a collision involving a cash-in-transit van and a Ford Figo on Comet Road, Plantation.

According to information received, the SBV cash-in-transit van collided with the Ford Figo this morning (May 22).

Police officers at the scene said the incident was initially reported as an attempted cash-in-transit heist, but it was later found it is not the case.

At this stage, it’s unclear if the occupants of both vehicles sustained any injuries.

SBV security personnel, the police and emergency service personnel were on the scene of the collision.
