School pitches in to help Cape Town in times of drought

Locals have showed over the last month a willingness to help drought-stricken Capetonians

Chardy Taljaard, a teacher at Junior Academy in Farrar Park, recently started a water drive for Cape Town. Staff, parents and learners donated water.

Between February 26 and March 1 they collected 1 133 bottles – almost 3 000 litres.

The water was collected from the school by the SA Water Movement and delivered to Cape Town.
