Boksburg residents continue to be plagued by rampant power outages as the DA in Ekurhuleni again raises its concerns over this ongoing issue.
DA Ward councillor in Ekurhuleni, Jackie Reilly, said: “One could be forgiven if one thought Boksburg was being sabotaged or there being a hidden agenda, given the increased number of power outages facing the larger Boksburg communities.
“The failing infrastructure is causing massive outages throughout the metro as Ekurhuleni lays idle in maintaining the ageing infrastructure.
“Cable faults trigger a domino effect as one fault triggers another shortage down the line.”
Reilly said they are calling mayor Mzwandile Masina to call an urgent public meeting where he and his coalition partners explain the current outages and take responsibility for these issues.
