Happy new babies!
Ekurhuleni’s MMC for Community Services, councillor Dora Mlambo, and other senior officials visited three hospitals in the region to welcome newborn babies and shower the little ones and their moms with gifts.
Newborns at Tambo Memorial Hospital, Bertha Gxowa, in Germiston, and Phola Park Community Health Centre, in Tokoza, received gifts, which included Ekurhuleni branded bathtubs, baby blankets and essential baby and mother products.
Mlambo emphasised the importance of breastfeeding to the moms and reminded them to register their baby’s birth before leaving the hospital.
Tambo Memorial Hospital was blessed with five newborns – four boys and a girl – between midnight and 3am.
