Mentally challenged children meet Santa
As part of its annual Christmas party drive for underprivileged children and senior citizens, Checkers and Checkers Hyper hosted a party for 100 mentally challenged children at the Masonic Hall in Boksburg on December 7.
Staff from Checkers Boksburg were involved in making the day a success.
“It is our way of bringing a bit of cheer to the underprivileged and the elderly at Christmas time,” said Sufura Sheriff, public relations manager for Checkers and Checkers Hyper.
The children were treated to sweets and treats, lunch and a goodie bag of toys from Santa.
