Good vibes for a worthy cause
Brakpan residents Johan Prinsloo and Nico Prinsloo hosted an entertainment fund-raiser at Alexanders Café in Atlasville on December 2, in the form of a canned food drive.
Local musicians, including Amanda, Sandy Lee, Ryana, Irene and Mel-Fox, entertained the supporters of the charity initiative.
Community members were encouraged to buy raffle tickets and donate food items or money.
The canned pet food collected will be donated to the Brakpan SPCA, while the non-perishable items and money will be handed over to the St Francis Care Centre and the Hanna Charity and Empowerment Foundation.
Johan and Nico said they are in the process of establishing a non-profit organisation, which they said will likely be based in Boksburg or Brakpan.
