She reportedly was raped at the Ekurhuleni bus depot, on the corner of Trichardts and Voortrekker roads, on the morning of October 23.
According to Boksburg SAPS spokesperson Sgt Cebisa Maseko, the 17-year-old girl was dropped off at the bus depot shortly after 5:30am to catch a bus to school in Edenvale.
“While the mother was driving home, she received a call from her daughter who told her she had been raped.
“The mother immediately drove back to the depot. Her daughter said she had gone to the toilets and while inside a man kicked the door open, injected her in the arm with an unknown substance and raped her,” said Maseko.
The Advertiser visited the bus depot after the incident was reported and discovered security personnel controlling access.
Police are investigating a case of rape.
