Sunward Park woman tied up, robbed at home

A 54-year-old woman was tied up with a USB cable while suspects robbed her of her belongings at her house in Sunward Park on October 17.

The Boksburg SAPS spokesperson, Sgt Cebisa Maseko, said the incident happened at around 2.30pm.

“The woman said she heard a noise at the door and ran to her bedroom to get outside through a sliding door there. She had neglected to press the panic button and went back inside. This is when the three men tied her up with a USB cable,” Maseko said.

The suspects stole a TV, laptop, jewellery, cellphone, i-pad and a camera.

A case of house robbery has been opened.

Maseko urged the public to always keep their security gates and doors locked.
