He pleaded guilty to the charge on September 12. The charge relates to an incident which took place on July 1.

The case was postponed to December 15 for sentencing and the magistrate ruled Oosthuizen could be released on condition that he compensates the complainant, Charles Oosthuizen, to the value of the damage caused.

Magistrate Jurg Viviers presided and Mduduzi Mnyandu represented the state.
