Major construction work is still underway at the Boksburg Lake.
Residents of Ekurhuleni are advised that while this phase of the construction to upgrade the property is underway, the facility remains closed to the public.
It will be reopened once this stage of the construction has been completed, said the metro on September 11.
The current phase is projected to be completed by end of this month.
The on-going project includes erecting wire fencing, paving the road, landscaping, construction of entrance wall, irrigation, planting, installation of park furniture and litter bins.
The project will costs about R6-million.
