Suspect arrested for murder of girl (10)
The suspect was arrested on July 27, in Driehoek, Germiston and charged with kidnapping, rape and murder.
He was initially arrested three days after the little girl’s body was found in a veld in Elsburg Road on April 1, but was then released due to a lack of evidence.
Forensic evidence eventually linked the suspect to the crime and he was re-arrested by Reiger Park police.
The suspect is reportedly a friend of the family who knew the victim well.
