Ackermans suspect believed to be involved in latest store robbery

Boksburg police are investigating a case of business robbery after yet another Ackermans store became the target of armed robbers on Monday, August 7.

Two armed men held workers at the store in Commissioner Street at gunpoint at around 10.20am before stealing almost R50 000 worth of cellphones.

According to Boksburg SAPS spokesperson Sgt Cebisa Maseko, the suspects forced the staff into the canteen area where they were ordered to lie on the floor.

No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.

This robbery comes a few weeks after two men robbed the Ackermans store at the Sunward Park Lifestyle Centre in broad daylight on July 21, using the same modus operandi.

The pair entered the Ackermans store and held staff at gunpoint, before stealing thousands of rands worth of cellphones.
