Suspects lead police to drug stash

EMPD Drug Enforcement and Equestrian Unit members, acting on a tip-off, arrested two suspects after they were found in the possession of two packets of crystal meth, in Erasmus Road, Boksburg, on August 9.

According to EMPD media liaison officer Kobeli Mokheseng, the 22-year-old woman and 32-year-old man then led the police to the discovery of a further 23 bags of the substance at a premises in Mustang Road, Kempton Park.

A 22-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man were found with two packets of crystal meth in Erasmus Road, Boksburg.

The estimated street value of the drugs is R5 000.

The suspects were charged with possession of and dealing in an illicit substance, at the Boksburg North Police Station, and will appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
