Robbery ties school guards up with shoelaces

Four laptops, a projector, a camera, an amplifier and an undisclosed amount of money was stolen during a robbery at Windmill Park Primary School, at around midnight, on August 3.

According to Cst Nkemeleng Mabula, from Dawn Park SAPS, two security guards were on duty that day when they were accosted by 10 to 12 armed men.

“Some of the suspects tied the two guards up with shoelaces while others went through the roof and disconnected the alarm system.

The principal’s office after the robbery which took place at the Windmill Park Primary School on August 3.

“They then proceeded to the main office where they broke the security door and gained access to the principal’s office. The suspects allegedly took the cash and the electronic equipment from here,” Mabula said.

A case of business robbery has been opened and no suspects have been arrested.
