Young Rotarians charter new club
Young past president Damian Lahoud has spread his wings with his wife Talitha to charter a new Rotary club in Midrand.
The new club is registered under the name Midrand NXG but will be known as Midrand NEXGEN.
The name is a nod to the new generation, represented by the 20 young charter members, who were inducted as Rotarians on the evening.
The charter dinner took place at the Harvard Café at Rand Central Airport.
Two sponsoring clubs, Boksburg Lake and Johannesburg New Dawn, were proud to assist District 9400 governor Grant Daly with the induction ceremony.
Guests were each given a herb plant to take home as a symbol of the new youthful club growing from strength to strength.
