According to Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson, paramedics arrived on the scene to find the wrecked light motor vehicle in the emergency lane of the highway.
“The body of the man was found lying in the drainage ditch,” said Meiring.
“Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life.
“Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the man and he was declared dead.
“It is understood that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing the vehicle to roll and eject the driver.”
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
