Be aware of the threat of malaria when travelling

With all the holidays, and people traveling to destinations all over the world, Netcare 911 has issued a reminder of the dangers when visiting malaria areas.

“Please make sure you visit one of the travel clinics  for advice before you make your journey. Remember, prevention is much better than cure,” said Chris Botha
Media Liaison Officer – Netcare 911.

“If you have already visited the area and have a risk of contracting malaria, we have added a poster of the signs and symptoms that could present themself.

“Please take care and if you or your family show any signs listed, please do not hesitate to contact us on the 082-911 number.”
