Help your local theatre to grow

The Live Arts Little Theatre (LALT) in Boksburg remains a unique theatre that has been part of the East Rand community for the past five years

LALT has been home to more than 500 acting students and many South African and international performers over the years.

“Here, we not only develop talent for stage and camera, but also provide a platform to emerging performers. We have a big passion for the arts and an even bigger passion for developing artists,” said LALT owner, Louw Breytenbach.

The theatre is looking for a permanent building to call its own.

Funds are being raised to make its owner’s life-long dream come true as it becomes the very first performing arts institution in Boksburg, offering a variety of classes and after-school programmes for students and graduates wishing to enter the world of performing arts.

“The aim is to raise R200 000 so that the academy can successfully open its doors in 2018, to welcome a brand-new era of acting, dancing, vocals, art and modelling,” said Breytenbach.
