The accident involved a light passenger vehicle and a truck.
It occurred just after 6am.
EMPD spokesman Kobeli Mokheseng said the injured were transported to Tambo Memorial Hospital.
He said all the injured people were travelling in a Fiat.
Though the exact cause of the accident has not yet been confirmed, Mokheseng said a case of reckless and negligent driving is being investigated.
