Suspects run into the long arm of the law

The Boksburg North SAPS made the following arrests the past week.

Possession of stolen property

Officers received a complaint about a suspicious-looking person on March 24, at about 11.30am.

Upon their arrival on the corner of Rietfontein and Rondebult roads, they found the man pushing a wheelie bin.

“They stopped and searched him and they found fire extinguishers in the bin,” said the Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Capt Juanita Coetzer.

“The suspect could not explain where he got it or show any proof of purchase.”

He was arrested and detained at Boksburg North SAPS.

House break-ins and theft

When the complainant arrived at home on March 24 around 7.50am, he noticed that his garage door had been opened.

“He saw an unknown man running from his garage and gave chase,” said Coetzer.

“He apprehended him and contacted the Boksburg North SAPS. Upon their arrival they found another suspect in the garage.”

Both suspects were arrested and taken to Boksburg North SAPS.
