Mayor signs tripartite MoU

Ekurhuleni Mayor Mzwandile Masina completed the signing of the tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the mayor of Lusaka in Zambia, Wilson Kalumba, on March 23, in Germiston.

Masina said that by signing the MoU, they want to deal with issues of heritage conservation by implementing a number of strategic initiatives, both in Lusaka and here in South Africa.

“We also look forward to strategic sessions on knowledge sharing and cultural exchanges. Between the two countries there’s a rich history of political freedom which is anchored by the foundation that is the struggle stalwart OR Tambo,” said Masina.

Mayor Masina also handed over a copy of the letter written by OR Tambo while Tambo was in exile in Italy.
