According to Marinda Lamprecht from Superfit, the grass has not been cut for the past six years.
Due to the length of the grass, added Lamprecht, the veld has been a hot spot for crime.
“There have been so many assaults and robberies in this veld and it still happens on a regular basis,” she said.
About three months ago, Lamprecht spoke to the Ekurhuleni metro about the condition of the veld.
To date, the grass has not yet been cut.
The Advertiser sent a query to the metro about this matter. By the time of going to print, no response has been received.
