Locals celebrate 112 years for Rotary International

Rotary International was established on February 23, 1905, and is celebrating 112 years, this year.

At this year’s dinner, Rotary Lake stayed loyal to tradition, with Martin Westcott (home club member from the Benoni Aurora Rotary Club) speaking on “The World We Live In: Today, Yesterday and Tomorrow”.

Rotary is continually encouraging clubs to recruit younger members who will bring new energy to the organisation.

Boksburg Lake is also in the process of chartering a new club, consisting of mostly young members from their Rotaract Club.
