At approximately 7.20am Emer-G-Med’s RV2, M02, I02 and A09 responded to reports of a multi-vehicle pile-up on the N12 West after the Jet Park exit, close to Witfield, Boksburg.
Upon arrival paramedics found that seven people had sustained minor to moderate injuries after two trucks and seven cars collided.
The patients were assessed and treated at the scene before being transported to various nearby medical facilities for further care.
The events leading up to the collision are unclear and will be investigated by local traffic authorities.
