R21 rear-end crash leaves two Mozambique men dead
Two Mozambique men died a horrible death on R21 in what appears to be a freak accident.

The incident happened last night (Sunday, January 29) at around 7.30pm.
According to Chris Botha, media liaison officer Netcare 911, paramedics responded to a collision on the R21 just after the Rietfontein off ramp.
“Reports from the scene indicated that the three Mozambique men were pushing there 4X4 that had broken down on the highway. A BMW came hurling down the road and slammed into the rear of the truck crushing the men between the two vehicles,” said Botha.
“Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that one man tragically died before our arrival, two were in a critical condition while three people from the BMW escaped with minor injuries and refused treatment.
“Paramedics worked fervently to stabilise the critically wounded men at the scene.
“Tragically, despite all their efforts one of the critically wounded men died due to the extensive injuries that he sustained.
“After the other man was stabilised and immobilised on a trauma board, they transported him by ambulance to a specialised hospital for the care that he required.”
