Boksburg supports Gudwulfs ROC

Special gifts were delivered to Gudwulfs ROC at the Harties Market, in Hartbeespoort, on December 3.

he public were asked to wrap up food, blankets, towels, treats, and much more, to help the rescue shelter through the festive season.

To collect these much-needed items, Harties Market sponsored a stall for Gudwulfs ROC for the day.

Visitors to the market generously donated wrapped gifts and supported Gudwulfs ROC’s market table by buying boerie rolls, cold drinks and pancakes.

Donations valued at R8 000 were handed over to the founder of Gudwulfs ROC, Dani Cappri, who is a former Boksburg resident, at the Harties Market.

The principle object of the organisation is to protect and assist canines and felines in Johannesburg, as well as other parts of South Africa where applicable.

This is done in order to rescue orphaned, injured, traumatised, mistreated, abused, neglected or unwanted canines and felines and to treat, raise, rehabilitate, foster and re-home these animals as well as maintaining an ongoing campaign to sterilise (spay/neuter), vaccinate and de-worm all animals placed for adoption.

Although the organisation is based on a plot in Pretoria, all outreach programmes are carried out in Boksburg.

Gudwulfs ROC would like to send a special thank you to the following:

• Junior Academy, for the generous donation of R5 000

• Harties Market, for a sponsored stall

• The Ludek Family

• The Ras Family

• The Harding Family

• The James Family

• Petra Lombaard

• Laure Lombard du Plessis

• Alta Grobbelaar

Boksburg residents are invited to continue donating gifts throughout the festive season.
